Global financial institution ING has signed up as the title sponsor of the Turkish Basketball Super League.
The three-year deal was brokered by the Infront agency, the league’s exclusive media and marketing representative.
The agreement will guarantee ING broad exposure, including on-court branding, across 240 games per season. The contract also gives ING the option to create digital content and activate its sponsorship through the league’s players and officials.
After signing the title sponsorship agreement, ING Turkey’s deputy director-general, Alper Gökgöz, said that the deal had been in the pipeline since 2014. Infront started working with the Turkish Basketball Federation in the same year.
ING, which was previously a main sponsor of the league, is a familiar brand in basketball. In August, the institution renewed a long-running partnership with the German Basketball Federation (DBB) through to 2024, extending a collaboration that began in 2003.
Infront Turkey’s managing director, Ender Uslu, said: “ING is a globally-recognised brand that has consistently aligned itself alongside some of basketball’s top properties. The company has already seen the value that the Turkish Basketball Super League can offer as a main sponsor and I’m delighted to continue working with them in their new expanded role within the competition.”
