The Finnish Ice Hockey Association has partnered with the Infront and TMG Sports agencies to jointly develop and offer exclusive marketing and hospitality opportunities in Finland for the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship.

The commercial offering set by the FIHA’s Organising Committee will include a limited number of official partner sponsor packages made available to Finnish companies who want to associate their brand with the 2022 Championship, which will be staged in Helsinki and Tampere. It will also incorporate a broad range of hospitality packages across the two host arenas.

Finnish agency TMG Sports, in close collaboration with Infront and the FIHA, will be responsible for the commercialisation of all local sponsor and hospitality packages and will also manage the implementation of both elements closer to the event.

Infront senior vice-president of spectator sports, Bruno Marty, said: “Infront has a long history of successfully partnering with Organising Committees at previous IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships.

“TMG Sports has extensive commercial experience and a broad network in the Finnish market. Including them as an additional partner alongside the FIHA will allow us to jointly offer an appealing range of marketing and hospitality opportunities for all clients in Finland.”

TMG Sports founder and chairman, Tero Kumpulainen, added: “We look forward to working with Infront and the FIHA and are fortunate to have a team here at TMG that can lend its combined experience from both the 2012 and 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Finland to help deliver an exclusive local marketing and hospitality offering for our clients in 2022.”

The 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship will take place from May 13-29. Finland won this year’s event in Slovakia.
