Korean golfer Jiwon Jeon has signed with the IMG agency for worldwide management to represent all commercial activity, as she seeks to become a top player on the women’s LPGA Tour.

The 22-year-old recently turned professional after becoming the first Korean female amateur to gain an LPGA Tour card at the LPGA qualifying Q Series earlier this month.

Jeon was the top ranked Korean golfer on the World Amateur Golf Rankings before turning professional, peaking at No. 3.

Jay Burton, senior vice-president of golf at IMG, said: “Jiwon has enjoyed an impressive amateur career and finished it off in incredible fashion at Q Series last month. She has all of the traits that we look for in an upcoming star – passion, maturity, independence, talent, and marketability. We look forward to helping her achieve her goals and help her to develop her career on and off the course.”
