IMG Arena buys majority share in computer vision company Signality

IMG Arena, the sports betting division of the IMG agency, has acquired a controlling interest in Swedish computer vision and camera technology firm Signality.

Co-founded by Mikael Rousson and Michael Hoglund in 2016, Signality is a cloud-based platform that uses artificial intelligence to extract real-time sports event tracking data from static cameras. The information collected could include the positions of players or the ball on a pitch, or total distances run.
