IMG Arena and Mansion agree virtual sports coverage deal

IMG Arena, the sports betting arm of the IMG agency, has agreed a “multi-year” deal with online betting company Mansion Group to deliver virtual sports coverage through the former’s tie-up with Leap Gaming, the 3D sports content developer.

The agreement in the UK market takes effect immediately and allows Mansion to offer on-demand and scheduled virtual horse racing, trotting, cycling, greyhound racing, speedway and tennis.

Leap’s newly-launched Instant Football, which combines motion-capture animations with commentary and betting options, will also be available to Mansion customers.

The agreement follows on from the agreement signed by IMG and Leap Gaming last year, which added additional services to the existing live streaming and data offered by IMG Arena across different sports.

David Murphy, chief marketing officer, at Mansion Group, which houses the MansionBet and MansionCasino brands, said: “Integrating Leap’s market-leading virtual sports portfolio with IMG Arena brings a package of sophisticated and entertaining content that perfectly complements the existing Mansion proposition.”

Earlier this month, the US-based Scientific Games, the gambling products and services company, became the first platform to sign up for IMG Arena’s new golf data and live streaming service for bookmakers. SG Digital, a division of Scientific Games, will incorporate IMG Arena’s ‘Golf Event Centre’ from January 2020 on its OpenSports offering.

IMG’s golf service will offer detailed shot-by-shot data, live streaming and interactive course visualisations from the PGA Tour and European Tour. IMG recently expanded its scoring data distribution agreement with the PGA Tour to include North America.
