IFs show increasing financial transparency but gender balance improvements slow

International federations have displayed an increasing transparency over the publication of their accounts and continue to introduce term limits for presidents, but progress on increased gender balance on executive boards remains slow, according to the latest review undertaken by the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF).

The details of ASOIF’s fourth review of International Federation governance were unveiled today (Tuesday) with the sports bodies asked to check their governance against 50 measurable indicators across five topics: transparency; integrity; democracy; development; and control mechanisms.
