Hopfen to succeed Seifert as DFL chief executive

The German Football League (DFL) has appointed Donata Hopfen as its new chief executive, with the 45-year-old to assume the role on January 1.

Hopfen currently serves as managing director and partner at BCG Digital Ventures, a Boston Consulting Group company. She will become the first female chief executive of the DFL.
