The Bay Area Chun Yu Phoenixes, a basketball team created in Hong Kong for new pan-regional club competition the East Asia Super League, is relocating to Manila, the Philippines, for its first season due to pandemic-related travel restrictions.

The team will be renamed the Bay Area Dragons, to avoid a name clash with Filipino club the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters, and will take part in the Philippine Basketball Association's Governors' Cup competition.
