Herbalife Nutrition France partners OL women’s team, deal brokered by Lagardère

Nutritional supplements brand Herbalife Nutrition France has a become an Official Sponsor of the Olympique Lyonnais women’s team in a one-year deal to June 30, 2020.

The deal was made by Lagardère Sports, a Lagardère Sports and Entertainment company, and exclusive agency of Olympique Lyonnais.

The partnership includes visibility at the club’s Groupama OL Training Center and Groupama Stadium, as well as digital activations on social networks and the club’s website.

The brand will also benefit from a hospitality package around women’s home team matches, and will be allocated places for the team’s away games in order to activate a national programme.

Benoit Haecker, managing director Herbalife Nutrition France, said: “Women’s football is booming and OL is the biggest club in Europe…This partnership will strengthen our presence in top-level sports and amateur sports to allow our independent distributors to better shine and support our consumers.”

Olympique Lyonnais is the most successful club in the history of the Division 1 Féminine – the top division of women’s club football in France.

The club has won 13 consecutive domestic league titles from 2007 to 2019 and six Champions League titles, including a record four successive titles from 2016 to 2019

This year, the Division 1 Féminine will be called the D1 Arkema, following the sale of league title rights to the French chemicals company Arkema.

The partnership with the French Football Federation was signed for a three-year period, from 2019-20 to 2021-2022.
