The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games Organising Committee signed a sponsorship agreement with Chinese airline Loong Air on Wednesday.
Founded in 2014, Loongair is based in Hangzhou and operates flights from China to Asian countries including Myanmar, South Korea, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Chen Wei Qiang, the deputy secretary-general of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee and deputy mayor for Hangzhou, and Liu Qihong, the chairman of Loong Air, signed the agreement.
Chen said: “We hope that Loong Airlines can actively combine the concept of ‘green, smart, frugal and civilised’ for the Hangzhou Asian Games, and use artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing technologies in the aviation field to help athletes and referees for the Games.”
Liu said: “Loong Airlines will strive to bring safe and efficient air passenger services for the Hangzhou Asian Games, and focus on creating a quality service culture, always looking at the passenger’s point of view, optimising service processes and providing refined services.”
The Hangzhou Asian Games has now signed five official domestic partners: Geely Automobile, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Mobile, China Telecom and Loong Airlines.
The 2022 Asian Games is the 19th edition of the event, and will take place on September 10-25.
