Group formed to tackle Rio 2016 pollution concerns as FISA joins testing calls

Luiz Fernando Pezao, Governor of the state of Rio de Janeiro, has signed a deal with several Brazilian universities and research institutes to develop a scheme to clean up the polluted waters of the city’s Guanabara Bay, as the World Rowing Federation (FISA) joined the call for viral testing of water sports venues at the 2016 Olympic Games.
