Scotland secured the hosting rights for the 2019 Solheim Cup due to strong government backing for the bid allied with a commitment to a wide-ranging promotional campaign leading in to the golf showpiece, according to Ladies European Tour (LET) chief executive Ivan Khodabakhsh.
