International streaming service GolfTV has launched in Russia on telco Rostelecom’s digital video service, Wink, making it the first country where GolfTV is shown as a linear channel.

It will show content from the PGA Tour and European Tour, alongside this year’s PGA Championship and Masters majors.

The launch follows an agreement between Rostelecom and Media Alliance, a joint venture between Russia’s National Media Group and Discovery, which co-owns GolfTV.

The entire portfolio of Discovery-owned Eurosport’s channels is already available to Wink subscribers.

GolfTV was first unveiled in October 2018 under a partnership between Discovery and the PGA Tour.
