The Glory kickboxing league will return to the UK for the first time in five years with an event in the English city of Birmingham this June.

Birmingham’s Genting Arena will stage Glory 54 Birmingham and Glory 54 SuperFight Series on June 2.

The Glory 54 Birmingham card will see Rico Verhoeven go head to head against Mladen Brestovac in a three-round, non-title affair.

Harut Grigorian will also face off against Alim Nabiyev, with Elvis Gashi to be pitted against William Goldie-Galloway. Other fights will include Bailey Sugden vs. Anvar Boynazarov and Adrian Maxim vs. Chenglong Zhang.

The six-fight card for Glory 54 SuperFight Series features Danyo Ilunga vs. Fraser Weightman, Christian Baya vs. Josh Jauncey, Richard Abraham vs. Adam Hadfield, Marat Grigorian vs. Liu Xu, Mark Timms vs. Dawid Blaszke and Jamie Bates vs. Tommie King.

Glory last visited the UK in 2013, when London’s ExCel Arena played host. Glory’s next event, Glory 53, will be staged in the French city of Lille on May 12.
