The German Olympic Sports Federation (DOSB) has approved a multi-stage process that will see it explore a possible bid for a future edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The announcement was made at the DOSB’s general meeting on Saturday, when president Thomas Weikert was re-elected for another four-year term. A ‘road map’ was presented for an Olympic bid, the first stage of which, in the coming year, will include a nationwide series of discussion forums with supporters, critics and stakeholders from business, politics, culture and other areas of society.
