Geo protests PTV-ARY deal for Pakistan Super League rights

Pakistani pay-television broadcaster Geo is protesting the award of a two-year deal for domestic media rights for the Pakistan Super League to rival broadcasters ARY and Pakistan Television (PTV).

ARY, which owns sports channel A Sports, and state broadcaster PTV acquired rights for the T20 cricket tournament in 2022 and 2023 at an auction on December 23 run by rights-holder the Pakistan Cricket Board.
