Free-to-air coverage of Tokyo’s 2020 Paralympics, which will take place next summer, will be shown by broadcasters in at least 24 sub-Saharan African countries thanks to an agreement announced by the International Paralympic Committee today (Wednesday).
The IPC has recruited the TV Media Sport agency to secure broadcasters in the region and will not be charging a rights fee as part of a campaign to increase Para sport awareness and overcome disability stigma.
