Football Australia chief executive James Johnson has called on authorities to build a new “home of football” in Queensland as part of redevelopments ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Johnson, quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, said a new football stadium would help organisers achieve their legacy ambitions and equip the country with a venue “the whole game can call home”.
