The Florida Panthers’ BB&T Center will play host to the 2021 National Hockey League All-Star Game, according to The Athletic. An official announcement is expected this week.
It will be the second time the Panthers will play host to the event and the fourth time it will be in Florida. The Panthers hosted the 2003 All-Star Game, while the Tampa Bay Lightning hosted the showpiece event in 1999 and 2018.
Las Vegas and Arizona were reportedly also in the running for the 2021 event but it has been awarded to the BB&T Center, which is located near Fort Lauderdale in South Florida.
The 2020 NHL All-Star Game, which will be held in St. Louis, Missouri, this week, will contain a 3-on-3 scrimmage between leading American and Canadian women’s ice hockey players.
In addition to live coverage on NBC, NBC Sports will produce a digital-only second-screen presentation on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app showcasing puck and player tracking data that will be presented in real time.
