Finnish businessman enters fray for United, Elliott eyes stake

Finnish businessman Thomas Zilliacus has revealed that he has submitted a fan-focused bid to buy Manchester United, while New York-based investment fund Elliott Management has made an offer for a minority stake in the Premier League club.

Zilliacus is the founder and chairman of social media company novaM Group and he has submitted a bid to buy United through XXI Century Capital, an investment firm owned by his holding company.
