Financial restructuring sees Barcelona return to profit

FC Barcelona has announced a return to profit for the 2021-22 financial year, with the Spanish LaLiga club stating that a figure of €98m ($98.1m) is expected to rise to €274m for the 2022-23 period.

The figures were announced at a board of directors meeting, with full financial information set to follow at the ordinary general assembly of delegate members on October 9. For 2021-22, Barcelona said €98m profit came off the back of turnover of €1.02bn. For 2022-23, it expects operating income to rise further to €1.26bn, allowing for the increase in projected profit.
