The International Hockey Federation has announced a four-year agreement with Kayford Branding, a company well versed in manufacturing and exporting licensed products.

The deal, which runs until the end of 2023, will lead to the creation of official FIH merchandise across various categories and includes all FIH events.

Announcing the agreement, the Lausanne-based FIH said: “Thanks to this agreement, hockey fans around the world can now not only look forward to buying their favourite official licensed products on a regular basis at FIH events but also enjoy the e-store services that will be brought to life on the FIH digital platforms in the future.”

Kayford Branding has experience in creating licensed products for rights-holders in basketball, football, rugby union and tennis.

FIH chief executive Thierry Weil stated: “Official licensed products are an integral part of the fan experience and it is important to increase our presence in this field. We’re really glad to engage with such a reputed and established expert company as Kayford Branding.”

Leon Li, Kayford Branding’s chief executive, said that the company has been active in the sports licensing and merchandising sector for seven years and highlighted its work with Fifa, Uefa, the Chinese Super League and “various football clubs and federations in Europe and Asia”.
