The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has opened an investigation into Juventus over alleged salary irregularities, while Spain's LaLiga has become the first international body to call for immediate sanctions against the Serie A club.
Italian news agency Ansa has reported that the FIGC prosecutor's office has opened a procedure to investigate contracts signed between Juventus and their players following allegations that the Serie A club presented false accounting information to investors and produced invoices for non-existent transactions.
