Fencing returns to European Games programme for Krakow-Malopolska 2023

The European Olympic Committees has announced the sport of fencing will return to the programme of the European Games for its next edition in Krakow-Malopolska in 2023.

The event will now serve as the European Championships for the sport in that year and will also offer participants ranking points for inclusion in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Fencing’s addition to the programme was announced after the EOC and the European Fencing Confederation reached an agreement.
