Portuguese Primeira Liga champion FC Porto has agreed a deal with metaverse real estate property game Upland that will see a digital version of the club’s Estádio do Dragão arena mapped as a virtual property in the platform.

Described as the metaverse’s answer to Monopoly, Upland is a blockchain-based game that allows users to trade NFTs mapped to real-world addresses. Powered by the EOS blockchain, the platform allows users to become “digital landowners” who can build properties and collect, buy and sell common and rare NFTs through fun and engaging games and from stores situated within their virtual real estate portfolio.
