FC Diez Media, the joint venture established by the IMG agency and digital media company DAZN Group to sell rights to the Conmebol club competitions, has named Felipe Soalheiro as sponsorship sales director.

Soalheiro most recently worked at SportBiz Consulting, a São Paulo-based company that works with brands and agencies that connect with consumers through sports content. Soalheiro founded the company in January 2014.

Prior to SportBiz Consulting, Soalheiro spent a year working as an account director at PR and digital consulting firm Ketchum Sports & Entertainment Brazil. He previously worked as an account director at Brazilian advertising agency Africa and had a stint as an account manager at sponsorship consulting practice Octagon.

At FC Diez Media, Soalheiro will be responsible for maintaining partnerships with current Conmebol sponsors and seeking new contracts.

In August, Conmebol agreed a deal with online betting company Betfair, which will serve as an official partner of South America’s Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. Betfair joins Amstel, Bridgestone, Gatorade, Mastercard, Qatar Airways, Santander, Rexona and Tag Heuer as sponsors of Conmebol’s club competitions.

FC Diez Media was formed in February 2018.
