Global licensed sports merchandise manufacturer and retailer Fanatics has announced the appointment of Michener Chandlee as its new chief financial officer.
Chandlee joins from sportswear giant Nike, where has he spent the last 18 years in a variety of roles, most recently serving as vice-president corporate audit and chief risk officer. He has also worked in several chief financial officer positions at Nike across its various divisions, including Nike North America and Nike Golf.
At Fanatics, Chandlee will assume responsibility for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including accounting, investor relations, purchasing, tax, treasury and divisional finance for the company. He will be focused on building the firm’s v-commerce offering as it looks to build on its deals to manufacture and distribute all Nike merchandise for the National Football League and Major League Baseball, across all retail channels, starting from 2020.
Chandlee will be based at the company’s west coast headquarters in Silicon Valley, reporting directly to Fanatics chief executive Doug Mack.
