FA AND ASIAN FED IN CO-OPERATIVE AGREEMENT

The football development work will focus on the 25 countries given priority by the AFC – Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Guam, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Yemen.
The agreement offers a wide range of help, including coaching, referee training and administrative support as well training camps and football tournaments, particularly for young players.
England World Cup 2006 Bid Committee president Sir Bobby Charlton, signed the MoU on behalf of England FA while AFC were represented by their president Sultan Ahmad Shah.
