Norris Scott, the former vice-president of analytics and insights at Nascar, the US stock car racing series, has taken up a role at Futures Sport & Entertainment, the research and consultancy company owned by Interpublic Group.
Scott, who spent 13 years at Nascar, has been named as senior vice-president at Futures Sport & Entertainment, a sister company of the Octagon agency.
His new employer said that Scott will oversee North American business operations and lead all sports media measurement, brand exposure analytics, modelling and thought leadership with over 30 league, team and brand clients.
He will report to Simon Wardle, chief strategy officer at Octagon Worldwide.

Before that, he led Nascar’s partnership marketing department. His other career experience includes sales and marketing positions at ESPN, the NFL and ABC Sports.
Wardle said: “Norris has a deep expertise of the sports data and analytics landscape, and he has built an exceptional track record of successfully leading data-driven strategy and creative campaigns for clients and partners.
“His knowledge and understanding of the industry, and long-standing relationships with leagues, teams, networks, and Fortune 500 brands, will be a perfect complement to our growing agency.”
