European broadcasters back plans for anti-piracy treaty

European broadcasters have welcomed a continued commitment from member states of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to finalise a treaty that would harmonise anti-piracy protections for broadcasters around the world.

WIPO member states are this week discussing the WIPO Broadcasting Organizations Treaty, which would bring together protections by setting minimum standards internationally.
