ECB posts £16.1m loss for Covid-hit year

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has posted a loss of £16.1m (€18.8m/$22.8m) for the year ending January 31, 2021 as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The results are in contrast to the previous year when the ECB posted a £6.5m profit. The governing body’s turnover for the 2020-21 financial year was £207m, a fall of £21m on the previous year.
