The Hundred has a “long and successful future” ahead, the chair of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has insisted, despite reports suggesting the controversial competition could be scrapped.
Richard Thompson said there has been “an awful lot of misreporting” about the competition’s fate in an interview with The Cricketer magazine. He added: “The reality is that The Hundred exists with Sky until 2028 and I’m sure it has a long and successful future well beyond that.”
