The DP World Tour has added two new tournaments carrying a $2m (€1.8m) prize pot each in Spain to this season's schedule, replacing events in Japan and China that have been disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The first of the new competitions will be held at Infintium golf resort in Tarragona from April 21 to 24. It takes the place of the inaugural ISPS Handa Championship at PGM Ishioka Golf Club in the Japanese city of Omitama, which will now be staged as a sole-sanctioned Japan Tour event due to local travel restrictions.

The International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS Handa) retains naming rights to both events.

The second tournament, which will be known as the Catalunya Championship, is set to be staged at PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness in Girona from April 28 to May 1. The event replaces the Volvo China Open.
