Media group Discovery has reported that streaming minutes consumed via its European subscription services during the opening week of the 2022 winter Olympic Games have been more than 18 times higher than the same period for PyeongChang 2018.
Discovery said the first week of competition in Beijing has delivered a “strong start” across its European television network and streaming products led by discovery+, the entertainment and sports OTT platform first launched at the end of 2020.
