Online food delivery platform Deliveroo has furthered its sports sponsorship drive by agreeing a partnership with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).

The partnership with the FIGC will provide Deliveroo with brand visibility at the FIGC’s training facilities, on the sponsor backdrops during press conferences and on LED advertising boards during national team matches.

Deliveroo will also run activations, competitions, ticket giveaways and develop content to leverage its partnership.

The agreement with the FIGC becomes the latest football sponsorship deal Deliveroo has signed in recent months. Most recently the company partnered with Olympique Lyonnais, while it has also joined forces with fellow French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain, the English Football Association, and Spain’s LaLiga.

Matteo Sarzana, general manager of Deliveroo Italy, said: “Deliveroo is a service that grows and is increasingly rooted in the national territory and in an increasing number of cities.

“We believe in Italy, we want to continue investing in the Italian market and this sponsorship is an important part of a larger investment project, which will go ahead, and through which we want to continue to make our contribution to the growth of the Italian economy and the creation of new jobs.”
