The Leaders Under 40 Awards return to London’s Natural History Museum for a second consecutive year on October 4, and there are two days remaining before nominations close.
The Awards celebrate the off-field visionaries that are shaping the future of the sports industry and were jointly created by Leaders and Aspire Academy. The most talented individuals within the global sports industry are celebrated at the awards ceremony each year.
Nominations officially close on Friday, May 20. Leaders and Aspire Academy have so far received over 600 nominations from around the world and a judging panel comprising more than 60 industry professionals has been chosen to rule over the entries.
Leaders and Aspire Academy have received nominations from the likes of the Mexican Football Federation; BT Sport; Sky Sports; Bleacher Report; YouTube; Nike; ESPN; Ultimate Fighting Championship; European Professional Football Leagues; Fox Sports; Visa; AFL Europe; Fifa, the Football Association; AIG; Miami Dolphins; Wasserman; IMG; French Football Federation; Atlanta Hawks; Leicester City; Euroleague Basketball; Manchester City and Team Sky.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the response to this year’s Awards with more nominations from more counties than last year and over 60 global judges reviewing nominations,” Leaders founder and chief executive James Worrall said. “We’re really looking forward to revealing the Class of 2016 and celebrating this year’s incredible talent under 40 shaping the future of sport.”
