DC United and Toronto FC have become the latest Major League Soccer teams to unveil sleeve sponsors.
MLS teams unveiled their new jerseys for the 2020 season in a star-studded event in New York on February 5. It emerged there that DC United has signed a sleeve-sponsorship deal with leading game and casino operator Caesars Entertainment, while Toronto FC has partnered with appliance company GE Appliances Canada. Neither deal has been made official yet.
It has been reported for some time that DC United has been in talks with Caesars about opening a sportsbook at Audi Field this year, in a deal which would include the company becoming the sleeve sponsor as well. Meanwhile, GE Appliances signed a multi-year deal with Toronto FC in 2019, becoming the club’s first-ever major appliance partner.
Inter Miami and Columbus Crew are, meanwhile, the only two MLS teams who do not yet have a main jersey sponsor for the 2020 season.
