DC, Baltimore forge joint bid to be 2026 Fifa World Cup venue

Washington, District of Columbia, has officially created a joint regional bid with Baltimore, Maryland, to become a 2026 Fifa World Cup host site amid concerns over the viability of FedEx Field as a venue.

FedEx Field, the home stadium of the National Football League’s Washington Commanders, reportedly received low marks from Fifa organizers during their visit to the venue late last year.
