DAZN’s Diquattro: Rights additions in new markets must be sustainable

Veronica Diquattro, DAZN's chief executive of global markets, has told SportBusiness the company is looking to add to its existing “core” markets by making “sustainable” rights investments locally or launching other direct-to-consumer services.

As the broadcaster looks to better monetise its main markets through higher customer price points to offset rights investment costs, DAZN has in the last two years amassed a portfolio of global rights properties as the backbone of its OTT platform in “non-core” markets.
