Dapper Labs cuts 22 per cent of staff amid declining NFT interest

Dapper Labs, the Canadian blockchain company behind NBA Top Shot, has announced it is laying off 22 per cent of its staff, citing the "macroeconomic environment."

The company is one of the biggest names in the sports non-fungible token (NFT) industry, with partnerships with the National Basketball Association and National Football League and their respective players' associations, LaLiga, and the Ultimate Fighting Championship, among others.
