Private equity firm CVC Capital Partners is reportedly seeking a clause in its investment deal with the Six Nations rugby union tournament that would allow it to withhold funding if Covid-19 causes disruption to next year’s event.
CVC has been in talks over acquiring a 14-per-cent stake in the Six Nations for £300m (€331m/$378m) but the move has been delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
