CSM Sport & Entertainment, a division of marketing services group Chime Communications, has completed a deal to acquire LeadDog Marketing Group, a US-based experiential marketing agency.
CSM said that the takeover would allow the group to develop and enhance its client services in the US in areas such as sports marketing, experiential marketing, cause marketing, strategic communications, digital and interactive, partnership marketing and brand promotions.
The deal comes after CSM bolstered its ranks by appointing Rob McQueen as president of CSM North America earlier this month. In July, CSM named Jeff Shifrin as chief executive of its North America business.
Based in New York City, LeadDog has clients in sport and several other sectors, including entertainment, media, retail and active lifestyle. LeadDog has also recently agreed strategic partnerships in South America, Europe and Asia, including China and India.
“We are thrilled to be joining CSM, which has the kind of nimble, challenger-mindset, reputation, philosophy, people and culture that will be inspiring to our team at LeadDog,” LeadDog chief executive Dan Mannix said. “This will enable LeadDog to bring new resources and bigger reach to our client partners, and help us continue to evolve, lead, and dream big in ways we've only imagined.”
Harlan Stone, chairman of CSM North America, added: “LeadDog has been an industry leader for years and we’re really excited to have them join CSM as they represent a critical piece of our US strategy and our enhanced global capability. Dan Mannix is a proven leader in our industry and we’re delighted to add his marketing skills, creativity, and his passion for the business.”
