Cricket West Indies (CWI) and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) have announced the launch of a new competition based on the T10 format of the sport, but with several twists.

The inaugural edition of The 6ixty will takes place at Warner Park in St Kitts & Nevis from August 24-28, immediately prior to the 2022 season of the CPL, the T20 league. Organisers hope that the new 60-ball tournament will feature “many of the best cricketers” from around the world, with a number of new rules introduced in an effort to change T10 cricket and make the game even faster paced.
