Covid-19 continues to plague Diamond League events in China, rugby in Japan

The two Diamond League athletics events due to take place in China later this year have been cancelled because of the country’s quarantine requirements and travel restrictions, World Athletics has announced.

World Athletics planned to hold Diamond League events in Shanghai on July 30 and Shenzen on August 6 but the meetings are the latest in a flurry of sports events in China to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
