Mr Bhamjee has recently stressed the importance of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) deciding between the two African candidates, South Africa and Morocco.
Mr Irvin Khoza, Chairman of the South Africa 2006 Bid added: ?Mr Bhamjee has been a valuable supporter of our bid and this mandate from COSAFA will strengthen his hand in assisting us. We have made a commitment to COSAFA that we will ensure that the benefits of an SA2006 World Cup will cross regional borders. ?
COSAFA is a constituent of CAF and its members are Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
