Cork among ’35 expressions of interest’ to host 37th America’s Cup

The Irish city of Cork has been included on a shortlist of candidates selected by Emirates Team New Zealand for hosting rights to the 37th edition of the America’s Cup sailing event.

As the defending champion, Emirates Team New Zealand holds responsibility for organising and hosting the next edition of the America’s Cup. However, the team has commenced discussions with other nations after it announced last month that it had been unable to reach an agreement to stage the event in Auckland.
