Arizona Coyotes president and chief executive Ahron Cohen is no longer with the National Hockey League team, according to multiple reports.
Cohen was promoted in 2018, having been initially hired in 2015 as chief operating officer and chief legal officer by previous owner Andrew Barroway.
Last year, the Coyotes were taken over by Cuban-American billionaire businessman Alex Meruelo, who became the league’s first Hispanic majority owner. Barroway has retained a small stake.
The Coyotes enjoyed improvements in several key commercial areas under Cohen’s leadership, including ticket sales, attendance, sponsorship sales, and TV ratings. It is unclear exactly why Cohen has left the team or who will replace him.
It has also been reported that chief financial officer Gregg Olson has left the franchise as well.
