The Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) has announced that the proposed plan for a joint bid for the 2030 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games by Catalunya and Aragon has been approved, despite the latter still being at odds with the scheme put forward.

The announcement came following a meeting held at the COE headquarters on Friday. The meeting was attended by COE president Alejandro Blanco; the Government of Spain, represented by Secretary of State for Sport, Jose Manuel Franco; and the Generalitat de Catalunya, represented by the Minister of the Presidency, Laura Vilagrà.
