Chinese Super League to resume under financial clouds

The final, playoff stage of the 2021 Chinese Super League kicks off on Saturday with financial difficulties at clubs casting a pall over the season.

This year has already witnessed the demise of last year's champion Jiangsu FC. In recent months there have been questions over the future of other teams, including Hebei FC and Evergrande-owned Guangzhou FC.
