The Chinese Athletic Association and national track and field team have agreed a sponsorship deal with wearable technology brand Huami.

The deal is for five years and covers the athletics World Championships currently scheduled for 2021, the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2022, and the Olympics in Tokyo in 2021 and Paris in 2024. The 2021 World Championships may be moved due to the postponement of Tokyo 2020.

Huami has exclusive rights in the smart wearables category, covering devices including smart bracelets, smart watches, smart headphones and smart glasses.

In January, the CAA announced a long-term renewal of its deal with Nike, to cover three more Olympics, in 2024, 2028 and 2032
